Update: I called them. The first tech support guy said he can’t do anything. I asked for a supervisor and they put me onto a second person. He was great, he actually showed me why the first firmware process was wrong - even though you use their installer. So we tried the new way. After 2 attempts with two different computers, he told me the original attempt to download the firmware probably wiped out the old one and probably never got the new Version on thus rendering the printer with no firmware. This is why the printer cannot be recognized by any of the 2 computers we hooked up- the computers don’t recognize a printer with no firmware. So bottom line is I can’t apply the new firmware because the computer has to recognize the printer in order to do that. So now I have to try to find a technician that can flash the firmware onto the printer in another way - he says that’s possible but will cost $. So I am on the hunt. If anyone knows how to do this let me know.

I recently updated the Firmware on my CLP-365W printer which was working perfectly fine minutes before. After updating all the lights started flashing and the unit cannot be powered off (have to unplug). No button is responding.

I have googled this and many people have had the same problem with the firmware V3.00.02.19.

I only use Samsung Toner cartridges.

As well, I cannot seem to undo this as when I go the the firmware updater all it says is 'You have the latest firmware' - which is the problem.

I want to do a factory reset but cannot find anyway to do that either.

Any help would be appreciated.

I recommend getting in touch with HP who now provides support, servicing, and existing warranties for Samsung printers.

I had same problem with my Samsung Xpress C410W. I had a bit paper jam.then firmware upgrade then all light blinking and not-usable anymore. I had non-genuine toner. xxxx Solution: even though HP says you can not backward firmware upgrade, you can!

I did it and now mine is working*****

what I did:

go following web address and download old firmware:

https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/PRINTER/Samsung/Samsung-Xpress-C410W-Printer-Firmware-3xx0202.shtml

then download it and unzip it. I disconnected my computer from internet and uninstalled all Samsung softwares. then I connect printer through USB (computer recognized my USB printer though). then I ran SL-C410W_V3.xx.02.02.exe and waited till green lights solid. everything is fixed now *********

I tried to flash back every version of the older firmware that I could find without luck! I was able to get the webpage up for the printer, authenticated as admin password sec00000 and then into the maintenance section. I uploaded the failed firmware that created the problem, and used the sync to flash the firmware in a different program. It worked! lights stopped flashing, and now I can communicate and print without issues. Try the printer webpage, if you can get to that with some connection, then you can use the firmware (lastest you downloaded) tool to update the printer. It takes about 10 min from the time I flashed to printing from my computers. Good Luck everyone!

We had this problem, and struggled unsuccessfully through the instructions in this thread. We finally figured out how to do it. Here are more detailed instructions that may just help anyone still having this problem:

Samsung Printer CLP365w Flash Re-set after 2.19 Upgrade failed (blinking light problem).

Download file CLP365W_V3.00.02.19 from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-clp-365-color-laser-printer-series/17156870/model/17156872?sku=SS067B

Download file CLP365W_V3.00.02.16 from https://rebyte.me/en/samsung/42374/file-666898/ (we scanned this and it was not a corrupted or virus file).

Once downloaded, extract the files into their own respective folders.

Disconnect computer from internet.

Unplug your printer from the power source.

Uninstall ALL Samsung software related to the printer. (Mine didn’t let me uninstall all of it, but I uninstalled as much as it would allow).

Delete the printers from printer manager if they are still showing. Delete all versions, whether USB or wi-fi.

Plug in your printer to your PC with the USB connection.

STOP!!! Read through the rest of the instructions before going forward. You have to move quickly for this process to work, so you need to have a good idea of what the next steps are before you get there.

Plug the printer back into the power source. Immediately press and keep holding down the red stop/clear button on the printer. While holding down the red button, quickly press and release the start/power button. This whole time, do not release the red button.

Move quickly! After you pressed and released the start/power button, but before the lights start blinking again, go to the folder with the 2.19 update in it, and start dragging the file "CLP365W_V3.00.02.19.hd" to the usblist2 program. You may have to do this multiple times, and quickly. If you see a black box flash and close, it didn’t work. Keep dragging the file repeatedly and quickly as noted until you see a black file box stay open with numbers running. Let it run. Once it is done, the black box will close. YOU MUST KEEP PRESSING THE RED BUTTON DOWN THE ENTIRE TIME DURING THIS PROCESS. DO NOT RELEASE IT UNTIL AFTER THE BLACK BOX CLOSES.

Run the CLP365W_V3.00.02.16.exe program.

The update program will start, choose the correct printer and install/start. Select the USB option, not wi-fi. You can set up wi-fi later.

Wait for the update to finish. Check the update percentage.

I don't know if the red button actually needs to be pressed down the entire time, but this is what I did the one time it worked, after about a dozen unsuccessful attempts. It also seemed that once the lights start blinking, the process will not work. You seem to have to drag that file at the exact moment after it is plugged back in, which is why I said to keep dragging it over repeatedly and quickly. I don't know exactly at which precise moment the black box finally showed up, but when it did, it worked. (Kind of like pressing the F2 button when on a reboot, just keep doing it over and over until it finally works).

Once the update is completed, your printer is back to working condition!

Good luck to you!!!
