How do I put photos of my dog thats passed away on display on my home screen

Settings > wallpaper and style > change wallpapers > select photo from gallery to set as your wallpaper. Both options will show to set as lock screen or set as home screen

Or from gallery choose the photo you would like to set. Click the three dots in top corner of the image, you will see set as wallpaper

You can also place the gallery widget on your home screen to display pictures of your dog. Put the pictures you want to display in a separate folder or album. Then select that when setting photos to display in the widget.
