When buying a new device how do i register it on this app?

Register your new Samsung device by opening the Samsung Members app, tapping the Support tab, and selecting Register. You can then choose to scan a QR code/barcode on the product, scan via Wi-Fi for connected devices, or enter the IMEI/Serial Number manually. Ensure you are signed into your Samsung account to save it.

Isn't that option no longer available now as it was removed from the drop down menu. Don't you have to contact Samsung support direct to register any new devices

I'm pretty sure if its a newer samsung device and signed into the same samsung account, it happens automatically. I don't remember registering my monitor and buds but they seem to be there!

Yes i know, but he was asking how to register using the app. You could at onetime before but that option was removed by Samsung over a year ago now and is no longer in the drop down menu.

smartphones,wearables certainly tend to be registered automatically, it is best to check though.

As mentioned you now must register online (if not automatically registered), link provided by @Tourbillon De La Vie option not available on app. QR code option seems to be for Home Appliances, you can register many Tv's via the Device itself.
