Save all contacts in Google

Some of my phone contacts are saved in the phone,some in Google cloud and some in Samsung cloud. However I understand this is not the right way to save them. I believe all contacts should be saved in one “place”. Could you please tell me how can I correct this and make all my contacts get saved in Google? Should I go to each contact separately and change its settings or can this be done in another way? I would like all my contacts to be saved in Google. I have a Galaxy A13.

@GeoA13: In order to move your contacts to a single save location, please follow the steps below.

Open the Contacts app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Manage contacts > Move contacts > Select where to move your contacts from e.g. phone > Select the contacts to move, or tap 'All' in the top left > Done > Select where to move your contacts > Google.

Repeat this process for any other storage options, and you should be good to go.

Hi.

I save mine in Google as its a lot easier.

I sometimes try out Google phones so works for me.

When ever you add a new contact it should give you option on the top where to save it .

You also export and Import contacts. Etc.

Having a Google One account will help 😊

I have mine backed up automatically. You can back them up using Google drive or samsung cloud. I have the enhanced data protection enabled.

I have followed your advice and I have moved all my contacts to Google. Thank you! One more question. How can I make sure that from now on, all my new contacts will be saved to Google? I know it has to do with the settings. But could you please help me with that? What sort of adjustments need to do in the settings so I can make sure all the new contacts I add in the future will be saved in Google?

@GeoA13: To automatically sync contacts to your Google account, please open the Contacts app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Manage accounts > Sync contacts > Toggle on your Google account from here.
