@rileylovetech: I would start by checking the serial and IMEI numbers printed on the packaging label against the ones found in Settings > About phone, as this is usually a good indicator as to whether you have a genuine device or not. You should also, where possible, purchase phone's from a reputable retailer, as this will provide assurance that they are the genuine article.

If you have access to a phone, device stats are an easy way. Often specs will be wrong or incorrect. Get a few system info apps and you'll see things that are wrong. There's lots of other software things that you can sorta just spot. Hard to explain exactly what but spend enough time with phones and you can spot strange behaviour

Almost two years ago when my S20 Ultra broke, I ordered another one off Amazon, the price was reasonable for that phone at that time so I bought it, but when it arrived the case felt like plastic and the camera was taking blurry pictures, when I looked at it there was a white circle around the camera lense that I never saw on any Samsung original phone, also the screen had been replaced with a LCD screen, really odd to see Samsung S 20 Ultra on a LCD screen lol, the retailer accepted my return and I left a review on their page about this issue I encountered, and Amazon read it as well and sent me an email that they apologise I was scammed.

Approx 10 years ago I bought a second hand phone from a street seller that was selling refurbished phones and that phone was damaged by water, it died when it was touched by a drop of water in the kitchen and when I looked at the charging port I realised that it had green rust around it. Oh the audacity...

With samsung phones, a kinda easy way is to see if smart switch on your PC works. I don't think any fake would go through the effort to make that work with a fake phone

Not a good answer. Can a scam print the same IMEI and serial number on a box? I think so not a very hard job for them ? Give us a good answer please how we know samsung phone is real or not ? Thank you
