Sammobile is the best site to download firmware. Odin is the Samsung program to install firmware. It's done at your own risk as you can end up with an expensive brick.

How to best firmware upgrade > 20 phones to latest release?

Recommendations are much appreciated.
Also, if there are "getting things done" forums that would have good SNR please share.

I already tried upgrading three A55:s and already found something that seems a design failure, that PC version of Samsung Switch app removes "Pre-Downloaded latest software" (firmware) after you upgrade phone. (unless you copy it while open to safe place).

Maybe there are reasons for ordinary users to do this, but if there is _documentation_ how to use command line to initiate firmware upgrade on previous images... or checkbox that say "I have space, just store it on disk"

Is It's just not worth to upgrade and to throw phone to users and say it's your problem now. I know they don't upgrade, because burned by changing UI, etc.

You may want to have a look 👀 on the xdadevelopers.com site.

Disclaimer > Any attempt to get software via other sites other than the phone's internal update settings or via Samsung Smartswitch is carried out at their own risk.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

I personally wouldn't risk it unless it's an old phone I'm willing to throw away. Problem is you can never completely trust 3rd party websites and if it goes wrong it can brick the device

Thank you all for your thoughts.

and yes, these are directly from store packaging, as these don't yet update them self in the store. At least not yet.

I'll haveto read more about Odin. It seems that I can copy correct firmware files while switch is doing first upgrade to phones and all those have .tar.md5 filetypes. Later update process does include some risk, but I'll try on pile of rejects/replaced that I have lying around. Kinda sad, that they are blocking procmon on the switch application process. So I guess this is technically darker gray area..... "to get things done" fast.

I wonder if "bricks" are as real as used to be 20 years ago, or is android/samsung rescue boot modes read only, or more robust today.
