Fast charging doesn't work with new update One UI 6.1

Yesterday I updated my Samsung m33 5G to 6.1 . After update I am not able to charge phone in fast charging mode, while it gets charge with fast charging mode off but is slow.

It was not the problem before update. I also saw people with similar problem in community post

Can your Samsung team please release better patch version for us.

@engima_machine: Are you using the USB cable that came packaged with the phone, along with an official 25W plug adapter? If so, when you connect to your charger, please head to Settings > Battery, and check below the bar at the top of the screen. Does it say 'Fast charger connected'? While you're here, tap on 'Charging settings' and make sure that 'Fast Charging' is toggled on here. I also recommend trying another compatible charger to see if you notice an improvement.

Why dont you stop blaming the customers and blame yourself and fix the update. Super fast charging has been removed from settings and superfast charging no longer works. Before you give me "tips" on what to do. Ive done it all. Ive even factory reset my phone and still didnt work. Well done samsung.. youve lost a customer

Hi @AndrewL . Thanks for the response.
But, as I mentioned it clearly that everything, fast charging worked with same charger that was provided earlier before the update was installed. Now, I am facing the issue after installation means the issue is in the update.

Here, with new update i am able to toggle the fast charging mode, but charge pointer does not increase rather is decreased. [ Attached the screeshot for reference ]

So please provide proper update else provide a solution to revert to version 6.0 as it was working fine.

I would suggest to approach Samsung by sending feedback via the Samsung Members App.

They then can look into the issues your facing and take appropriate steps.

This is ridiculous you have to turn the phone for fast charging to work. Very same with my tablet. Update is making things worse

I've got the same issue and it is also showing moisture detected. I've done all the trouble shooting actions that samsung recommended as well as factory resetting my phone. If anything it's gotten worse since the factory re set. I've booked a repair under the warranty. The issue has to be the ONE UI 6.1 android 14 update as my fiance who has the fold is having the exact same issues since the update too.

Wow. This is a pain. This is the second time Samsung has failed me. Eversince, I've been a Samsung user. Last year, I had this green line issue, so I bought a new phone in December. Now, it hasnt been a year yet, I had this moisture detection issue on the new phone that keeps annoying me (imagine, you can't charge using the adapter, wireless charging isn't an option on this phone). The phone didn't come in contact with water. And to think that it was designed ip68 so it can resist moisture. Even though I've heard a lot of issues with the update to UI 6.1. I gave it a shot to fix this annoying warning error. I did update and now, instead of dealing with just the annoying moisture detection that comes and goes, another issue popped out, no super fast charging anymore. Samsung, I think, I'm done with you.

This is true! After the update,while charging using PD the battery decreased , just like the phone charged the charger lol.. so the only method to charge os to turn off the fastcharging then the battery start to charge and increase.

Before the updates its all fine.. no issue with cabbles and charger adapter, this is purely SAMSUNG DEV bugs.. please fix it!!!

I'm having the exact same issue with a 2 month old A55, and my mum has it on the Fold, both since being updated. Charges fine with a slow charger, but replaced my 25w fast charger with an official Samsung one, used the cable that came with the phone etc and the battery depletes while fast charging rather than actually charging. They said it must be a fault on my phone, instead of actually admitting they messed up

Found a fix for the issue and it's is the stupidest thing. I went to settings > Battery > Battery Protection and turned on any of the options, even basic, then my phone charges with a fast charger again. Why couldn't Samsung just tell us this?

Edit: worked short term, issue is still happening all the time

nah still not working.. in my case i cant even charge properly with the PD 25watts charging packages that came with the phone.. its all suddenly cant charge my phone at all when fast charging is toggled(only with this charger) the charger works fine for any other device and my phone charging with other charger also, but its ***** slow about only 3-7watts(max) charging speed

Yeah for some reason it fixed it for me and now it's back to the same. Only charges with fast charge cable when I connect it and then restart the phone. I have never had issues like this before especially on a new phone

Charges even with 45 W just fine WHEN THE PHONE IS TURNED OFF. Fix your stuff and allow fast charging and btw also with phone screen on.

P.S. you need a normal 5 A cable, typical USB4 cable will not work above 25 W.

Well mine didn't even after replacing the charger and cable with new Samsung ones, some reason it is now but had weeks where it wouldn't charge without restarting, bought phone in Sept and has been a nuisance

Well, that's great but not exactly ideal, is it? Won't charge with a fast charger when on, but it ok u can charge when powered off. It's a workaround at best, not a fix for something that should work as standard

I mean it charges in 20 minutes when turned off to 50%, while it takes 2 hours and more when turned on. Turn off is still much better...
