Whats App Initialising

Hi I have got a new Samsung phone and when I install WA app I can't get past the initialising page. I've cleared the cache, unstalled and installed the app. And turned of phone and router and on again and it just keeps initializing- any help would be gratefully received please.

Whatsapp is now liked with Google drive.

Have you already logged i to your Google account and made sure there are no sync errors?

Settings >accounts > google.

Also is your sim in your new phone already?

Hi - the sim card is in. Do I go into google drive and then settings

Thanks for responding. I'm not very technical I'm afraid do I go into google drive and then what do I do?

I have done as suggested and everything is synced apart from google which it doesn't allow me to sync although done a few days ago

Hi.

Under phone settings > search for manage accounts.

You should see all signed in accounts there .

Click on your Google account and also WhatsApp account and do sync all .

Make sure not erros are showing there.

Make sure you have allowed all permissions in app.

Click and hold on an app press the i button on the top right of the pop up and permissions. Make sure all are there for Gmail and whats app .( You will have to check separately).

You do t have do do anything in drive.
It's just that WhatsApp now backs up in Google so uses Google storage now.
