Hi all need some advice please

I have Samsung galaxy s20 phone and planing to upgrade but can't choose which one . Can you give me some suggestions on which will be good and I don't want to break the bank for a phone 😁😁😁 please

Hi, and welcome to the UK community

I'd recommend the Galaxy S23 Ultra if you can find one for your budget.

If you don't want to stay with the S series, then the mid range A54 5g is a good starter.

In addition to @Robin999 excellent suggestions, this really depends on what you want from your device and budget.

S24 and S24+ are decent mid price phones or you could also save money and go for the S23, S23+ or even potentially the excellent S23 Ultra. Maybe look at decent refurbished to get a better device for the same money?

Buying a new phone is a very personal choice.
The natural successor to the S20 is obviously the S24

But it's worth looking at what you want from a phone and how you will use it.
Could be one of the A series phones that will be perfectly serviceable for what you need.
If you are a gamer or power user, it's worth looking at the S24 or even S24 Ultra

Also a factor is your budget as well.
Could be an S23 series phone will be what you want as they are more affordable. But be careful where you purchase. Especially if it's not new.

A Samsung Experience Store will be a great place to visit to check out the latest range and play about with the devices.
Some retail stores will also have working examples if the experience store is not an option

@krasna Another option would be the S23 FE, need to bear in mind though that some compromises are made with the Fan Editions. If you are enticed by Flip phones then the Z Flip 5 or 6 might suit your needs. with the higher end A devices would recommend the A53/A54.

I would definitely go with a refurbished/renewed excellent or like new Galaxy S23. You can easily find one for $450 on websites like Amazon.

It's exciting getting ready to move to a shiny new phone isn't it ✨️

When I'm ready myself this is what I do.

Check out sites such as gsmarena.com and Samsung.com for specs.
Check out YouTube unboxings and actual reviews, and then if available further reviews after the creator has been using the phone for a while.
Make a shortlist depending on what you want from the phone, and price which should help you start thinking about a few phone's.
Then go to a Samsung Experience Store or Highstreet Network Store that has the models I'm interested in to try them out.
I look at what deals are on Samsung.com etc.
Look at cooling off periods just in case.
Look at how I'm financing the purchase of the phone.
Consider insurance such as Samsung Care+ or another option.

It is important to check with some sites like Amazon that you're getting a device for your region.

We have seen posts on here where folk have bought from Amazon in good faith but the device was region locked to another part of the world and the user couldn't update the device security or OS and not all network frequencies were available.

That's true. Most of them state which region they are locked to.
