Google play services keeps stopping

Hi everyone.

I hope you all can help with this.

The mother in law has a J3 that she uses now and again. Lately a pop up keeps appearing again & again saying "Google play services keeps stopping"

I press the close app & then it immediately comes back on & keeps doing it.

I've done a soft & hard reset...nothing.

Then looked in the app info & it doesn't give me the option to force stop.

The software is upto date.

Any advice would be appreciated (it helps keeping the mother in law happy ha ha).

If able I would uninstall all updates for the app using 3 dots at the top when long hold and press info

Have you tried going into settings
About phone
Software Information
Tap on Google Play System Update
You may have to update this.
If it's not been done for a while, you may have to do this a number of times until it tells you it's upto date

There is nothing in software information that says Google play system update.

@Mollymay Additionally ensure all apps are up are up to date. if go to Settings-Apps-Google Play services -Storage -clear cache does that make any difference? May need to uninstall and Reinstall Google Play services , go to Apps-Google play services-App details.

If any third party apps have been added lately may be best to uninstall as sometimes there can be a conflict but may not be the situation with this device.

Found the solution, remove any passkey\fingerprint (set to none) or temporarily disable it while setting up an accessory or app.
