&lt;P&gt;I imported a Samsung Note ²⁰ Ultra from Hong Kong to the UK.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I used Google Pay instead of Samsung Pay / Samsung Wallet.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Although some did say Samsung Pay worked but I didn't use it anyway so can't confirm either way.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Software and security updates downloaded fine.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately Samsung UK won't provide warranty support to an imported phone.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;My Samsung Members App benefits section was blank due to the different region.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have come across posts where sometimes a phone from the US may not be fully compatible with the bands and frequencies the UK Network's use which is why I personally chose one from Hong Kong.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Although I don't use 5G some mentioned issues getting that to work.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>S8 Phone Region re-set?</title>

      <description>Hi&lt;DIV&gt;My "new" handset is a US Region one (I'm in UK), hence some issues with certain apps as Samsung advise each Region owns software &amp;amp; security update programmes e.g. my previous UK/EU region phone had more recent security updates in place.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Is there a way for a lay person to re-set the Region from US to Europe or is a technical fix? Any advice appreciated!&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

Unfortunately there isn't a way to change the region of your phone and you may be unable to download certain software updates and apps such as Samsung Pay won't work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
