I'm not sure how to do it on your phone, but on the equivalent desktop app, some email clients (such as Outlook) allows you to set up filters that will block mass spamming. For example:

Joebloggs19@outlook.com
Fredsmith9000@outlook.com
Bendywendy@outlook.com

all have the suffix "@outlook.com". so, instead of blocking those 3 email addresses individually, you are able to block the @Outlook.com part, as a collective. Of course, this then results in legitimate emails being sent to your spam folder, so it then becomes necessary to set an alternative filter rule. If you get spammed by ads for viagra, bitcoin, etc from email addresses, you can set up the filter rules to pre-scan your emails, looking for VIAGRA, or BITCOIN or whatever, to then divert those emails to your spam folder. Initially, it is time-consuming, but after a while, you should reap the benefits of using filters. Use Google to search for best advice on how to use filters in your email client. I think if you set this up using a computer, the filters are done on the client servers, before you will retrieve your emails on your phone.

Hmm. Roughly how many Spam email accounts have you added. Just roughly. The only thing I could think it could be would to do with your Gmail, Google Photos and Google Drive 15gb limit. Even if you don't use the latter two I believe it counts towards your 15gb limit. But saying that, adding an email address to your spam would hardly take up much space, if any. Do you happen to know what storage you have left on your Google account? My Gmail takes up 0.25gb but I barely use it and don't send many attachments.

Check to see if you can create filters, as I suggested, above. That 500 can probably be whittled down quite a bit if you are able to assign filter rules. So, instead of, say 50 email addresses trying to entice you to invest in bitcoin, by applying "bitcoin" as the filter word, you have gone from blocking 50 individual email addresses, to just ONE filter block. Likewise, if "viagra" is another filter word. Just by applying filter rules to those 2 words alone, you have reduced that 500 to just 402!!

Apparently 500 is the limit on blocking on Gmail:

https://bit.ly/3znwOrS

I guess the solution is not in blocking the address since someone determined can just by pass this with another email address. See if this page helps:

https://bit.ly/3kZ95dN

I think Stevens post about filtering could be a solution but honestly I don't get enough spam.

The Samsung Email app is an email management system, allowing access to emails from different email providers/clients all in one place, as opposed to an email provider/client itself. The app or desktop versions from the email providers/clients themselves may have different options available than the Samsung Email app, which are definitely worth exploring.

Filters are a good suggestion for a workaround in this case, as it should affect how incoming emails are organised before they appear in the Samsung Email app. But definitely depends on whether the email provider/client somewhere has the option to do it natively – as Steven9761 said above.

At this day and age, the Samsung spam limit of 500 is ridiculous. I reach this limit in weeks because I get around 30 spam emails across 8 email addresses. There is absolutely no technical justification to keep it at an arbitrary 500 limit. It should be 10000 at least.

Here is how to delete addresses from your Samsung Email list, to make room for new ones, or fix an accidental block:

Open your email app. > tap the Menu on the top left. > tap Settings gear on top right > scroll down to Spam Addresses.

>tap Remove button. That opens the select radio buttons. Choose the ones you want to remove (it's none of them probably, but you have to make room. 500 is the Android 12 limit).

-You can select all by using the button on top-left. -

Once selected, tap the Remove button again and they are deleted . 😉

As far as I know there is no way to increase the Spam List limit within Android. A third-party app may be the way to go (?) I just ran into this today so we'll all find out.
