Charger for Galaxy S7 Edge

Can I use this 25w power adapter to charge a Samsung S7 Edge if I use it with a USB-C to micro USB cable ? Concerned this 25w version which seems to really be for newer USB-C phones may damage mine. But S7 edge does support Adaptive Fast Charging.

The phone will charge to its set parameters.
A fast charger will do slower lower wattage charging so should be like using the same charger as came with the phone.
Should be safe to use.
Only thing is sometimes depending on the charger, they can charge very slowly as I've found before.
