S8Active sending texts to emails

My S8 active keeps sending text messages to emails instead of the phone. Ive tried just putting in the number and it stil goes as an email Is there a way to fix this> C smith

Ok so for clarity @CjSmith

You send a text message from your phone and it goes to the recipients email address ?

If you open up messages and choose Settings, More Settings, Text Messages is your Messaging Centre number in there ?

i.e

@CjSmith: Is this occurring on all contacts, or just specific ones? As a troubleshooting step, please try removing the email address from any affected contacts (Apps > Contacts > Select Contact > Edit), ensuring that they also have a mobile contact number entered in the correct field, then try sending an SMS/MMS again. Does the issue persist?
