could anyone please tell me why I receive a notification sound and a grey triangle with an exclamation mark in the top left of my screen it is only there for a second.

The triangle with an exclamation mark is an alert symbol used by many apps. You should be able to see what this stands for by accessing your Quick Notifications panel by swipping down from to the top of the screen.

i presume its the sync error your referrign to. Its abit of a mind field to solve this. Usually will revolve around one of your accounts not syncing properly. So when the devices runs its sync cycle it cant access one or more account. Try checking this in the account section of the settings menu.

thank you for all your replies i have now been able to see what the problem is it is something to do with my network provider,I have recently had my number transferred from a works account to my private account and if I grab the icon before it disappears it is saying no service although there is with my network name, once lockdown is finished hopefully I can get it sorted. Thanks to all for your help and suggestions

Really hope that you can help, Jonathan. I am totally bereft of any kind of technical expertise or understanding. About a month ago or maybe more I kept getting this little gray triangle with a white exclamation point saying that my device was not the syncing with an email account. The two email accounts are from different domains that would have tried to be syncing. I got so aggravated that it would do it several times a day that I finally deleted the external account that I felt I no longer needed. I thought that that would solve everything but it did not. I also went into my app settings and cleared my Gmail cache, simply because that is what I was told to do by Ai and it made sense. I did clearing yesterday. I deleted that external linked account going on a week ago but that provider says that the account will be held in limbo for about 30 days and then totally deleted from their system and irretrievable. Is this great out triangle with a wide exclamation point going to continue to pop up every single day? I already removed the account in question from my security page on my normal everyday used email account. Can you help me? Am I explaining myself clearly or do you need further clarity? Thank you for any help you can give me
