You need to explain in more detail, software could mean anything. Is it an app if so where did you get it from an app store or downloaded and sideloaded it and what's the app called.

Or is it the operating system if so where did you get it from, what version is it, what phone do you have etc. etc.

If you have rooted your phone you will have an issue. I found it out on the note 9.
