I just bought a note note 20 ultra 5G this year (2025). I am currently on the security patch update of September 1, 2023. I checked the update now and the next version will be released on October 1, 2023. I went to docs.samsungmobile.com and saw that the latest security patch is January 1, 2025. Is there any way I can update to the last security patch without having to update each version one by one?

Hi. Samsung has stopped updating Note20U software a year ago and the Security patch last year.

Note 20 ultra is still on Quarterly Security Updates list:

If you install Updates it usually Updates to the latest one. Have you tried smart switch app on PC?

Also have you bought your phone from the same region you live?

I tried smart switch and it gave me the latest update. But I see its size is more than 6GB. It seems this is a full update of oneui5.1 and not just a small cumulative update right?

Yes, it should update to the latest version of one ui with latest security patch.

I'm currently on oneui 5.1 but it's the October 2023 version. I want to update to one last minor version but maybe not?

Like I don't want to reinstall a full version I just want to install the last version.

The one ui 5.1 is the latest and last one ui update for note 20 ultra it won't receive any new one ui updates, unfortunately just quarterly security updates.

I have s21 and I my security update is from may 2023 and it says to update it but I can't update it and I'm still on UI 5.1

@Members_zyc1lXW The most common reason people are unable to download updates through the conventional method (i.e. Settings > Software update > Download and install) is if the phone was purchased from a different region. So, for example, if you are located in the UK and purchased your phone from the US then it would need to be connected to a phone network from the US in order to download updates.

However, it is possible to download phone updates manually by using Smart Switch. To do this, you will need to download this service onto a computer. You can find the relevant links for doing this under the section titled "Download now" via the following link:

Once you have downloaded Smart Switch, please follow the steps below:

> Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable, and then open Smart Switch on your computer.
> If a software update is available, Smart Switch will automatically prompt you to download this.
> Click "Update", and use the on-screen prompts to download the necessary files.
> Click "OK" to proceed. Your phone may turn off and on a few times during the update process.

It still says that I don't have any update available, I mean it says that I should update security but when I click to update it it doesn't show any update. My phone was bought in France and I'm currently living in Poland. I tried to use vpn but it didn't work.
