UI keeps updating

I don't know how many times I tired to do the software update but evertime I do it just keeps on updating even though my phone says the software has been updated. Can anyone help me on stop getting the software update?

If the phone is older, updates stack, so it will keep updating individually until it's caught up. Check the versions each time and see if that could be it.

Let me know how you get along with this, as there are other options such as:
- Safe mode update
- Clearing the cache partition

If your phone is trying to do the same update over and over again, but keeps failing. I suggest you try and do a Clear Cache Partition. I've included a link below to show you how to do this. Regardless of the age of your phone, the technique has always been the same with Samsung phones.

I am having the same problem with the most recent update. Clearing the cache did nothing, as soon as I turned on my phone it popped up again. I have auto updates turned off but it's still making me schedule an update time.

My s22 just upgraded to UI 7.0 with Android 15. After the 4th upgrade I noticed the security patch dates keep changing by a month. They're commulative updates, one for the 1st of every single month. I noticed this for May 1st, ran 3 more and have 3 more to go to catch up to November 1st. Happy updating I guess, and thank you Samsung for leaving my security updates hanging until your UI updated 😤

of course right after posting and running the September 1st 2025 update, October 1st is UI 8.0 with android 16. Yay!!!

THANK YOU. I could not figure out what was happening, and decided to screenshot one of the update details and compare to the next one, so I feel confident I would have figured it out, BUT, I had already found your reply from 2 hrs ago and so just kept going on the updating.

I am facing the same issue with the new updates. I am getting security updates everytime it gets installed. It is so annoying, where you able to fix this?

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't noticed that the date on the updates was changing and I was getting pissed about the never ending updates that looked the same. Pushed through it to get to UI 8.0!

Well they have completely ruined my s25 ultra it barely runs and has so many more issues since the last update and I'm pretty sure they got sued for this ***** yet somehow they are still getting away with it *****!!!!!!!

I cannot use this approach on my S22 phone as the USB-C connector no longer works. Is there an alternative approach to Clear Cache Partition under these circumstances?

I'm having the same problem. I had this problem about 1 year ago with my older phone it started the same way then it got worse updating every 10 minutes then every 2 minutes I had to get rid of my phone and had to get a new phone

I just updated my s25 ultra two days ago and the phone has updated at least 5 times and it's scheduled to finish updating tomorrow at 3am .

Yeah they just want everyone to buy the s26 ultra so if they ruin the s25 ultra first then they are hoping it leaves you no option but to get the s26 ultra i own all the ultra phones they have done the same thing every time they announced the replacement!!!

I bought the s25 because my s24 did the same thing and it got worse and I had to buy a new one. Now my s25 is starting to do the same thing. i just bought my s26 ultra for my business I like samsung but if my s25 or s26 brakes because of the same issue I will stop buying Samsungs phone and completely change all my devices to apple . seems like they are doing it in purpose so you have to keep buying new ones . This is getting ridiculous .

Yeah i agree but believe it or not apple are as bad the iPhone and iPhone plus are just rebodied phones from the year before only the pro and pro max are actually new so they are as bad and they also send degrading updates to destroy your battery when they want you to buy a new phone! Basically phones are a battle the consumer is never going to win and that sad 😔 😟
