Hi, it changes the refresh rate f your screen meaning a smoother experience. It's especially notable when scrolling and animations. It does use more battery, though.

The downside is that, when turned on, it also causes “soap opera effect,” that is, the feeling that you’re watching live people in the room simply talking, rather than the magical effect of watching a movie or tv show.

The advantage is that it gives you a much smoother experience visually. The disadvantage is with it switched on you will have less battery life between charger.
