Hi everybody! Just want to ask you all a quick question.

Is it good for me to charge my phone between 95% - 100%? Or is it bad?

People have different takes on this @ItzZia

If a person is going to retain and use their phone for a good number of years then it's good practice to look after the battery as it doesn't have an infinity amount of charge cycles.

I think this is why Samsung has also put a setting on some phone's that allows the battery to charge to 85%.

Here is my preference which has stood me in good stead over the years.

I turn my phone off overnight and charge it to 100%.

If it was bad to do this then Samsung wouldn't let the phone charge to 100%.

Then I never let it drop below 15%.

I also prefer not to use fast charging unless I'm ever in need of a one off quick boost of the battery.

Maybe between 90% - 95% of battery will be ok throughout the day

Really as @BandOfBrothers has said.
Though I don't turn my phone off.
I use just a slow charge, if I need to charge up quickly, if I'm going out etc.
I will just charge enough to get me through until I can charge normally again.
Also I don't use my phone when it's on charge.
Maybe read the odd text. But nothing processor demanding.
It heats up the phone and heating a battery reduces its life span as well.
Partly why I slow charge.

Different opinions though there will be a bit more pressure on the Battery if it is constantly fully charged, depends though on how often you upgrade. A school of thought that the optimum level is between 20 and 80%, however need to consider if that will be sufficient when out and about if you do not have access to a charger. personally I usually charge when it drops to around 20%, but tend to charge to 100%. I also try and avoid using the phone when it is being charged. It is not good for the you need to run the battery down to 10% because if you keep charging it from 95% to 100% it is going to war the battery down and you even damage it so it is at least best practice to exercise the battery 🔋 and run it down to 15% or 10%.

Don't know if it's just my s21 fe but if I enable battery protection (85÷ cap) it breaks my sleep monitoring on my galaxy watch 4 classic / Samsung health
(Fails to record sleep &sp02)

So because you mentioned about the battery protection is on and breaks your sleep monitotization, would you leave it on or off?

If I leave it off, it records my sleep/constant sp02 just fine. When I had it on /enabled (battery protection) for the first week of of owning the phone the sleep section failed, the watch simply displayed the default "wear your watch the analyse sleep patterns" message or something along those lines (the standard opening screen of the sleep tile when no record has been recorded).

It worked (the watch/SS health etc) flawlessly when it was hooked up to my old device, (s8+) but as that phone didn't have the battery protection feature I decided to try it with it disabled and it recorded the following night's sleep just fine and blood oxygen, too be honest though snore detection is still a bit hit and miss.

My old device had 100 records history ready to show the sleep apnea clinic when my appointment comes through but I've only managed to get her 2 or 3 records since owning this phone.

I would like to have battery protection enabled as I've had it turned on since I've owned my tablet, it does behave differently on my tablet though as in it still displays the battery as 100% full when charged, on my s21 Fe though it actually stops at 85%.

I opened a question/error ticket but it hasn't been answered yet. So I've simply disabled the option (b-protection) for now.
