Another Update causing issues

Updated my Note 20 Ultra - which I now dread every single time.!

And sure enough, in good old Samsung tradition, it causes me issues.

This time, notifications. WhatsApp for example, now doesnt appear as a banner notification. It doesnt even make a noise. Doesnt do anything except pop a little icon in the top bar.

No settings have changed.

Any ideas.?

I merely meant WhatsApp as an example. Don't really want to delete and reinstall apps

Clear the phones cache partition. Download good guardians and run galaxy app booster.

It's in the galaxy app store. It's something I do after every software update, haven't had any problems so far. Hope it helps with your issues.

Thanks. I've done all that. They're still not showing up at the top as a banner style alert.

Have you looked in the settings under notifications. See if any has changed. Double check even going to detailed then back to brief. Double check all apps are included.

I've managed to get the other apps to pop up on the banner. But not WhatsApp.
So not sure what's happened there.

Atleast you got the rest of the apps to pop up. Maybe try deleting what's app then re download. Start the app from fresh now that you got the rest working.

Hi,
Just deleted WhatsApp and reinstalled.
Still the same.

Just the icon in the top bar, and the icon on the app itself.
No actual alert.

So no sound, no vibrate, no banner style alert.
Zilch.

All turned on in notifications for what's app. I know silly question and you have probably already looked.

It seems WhatsApp has an issue. Red herring, as the Samsung update screwed my notifications generally.
But seems those are resolved, leaving just WhatsApp to sort theirs out now.
