Used it three times to clear the cache and now the buttons no longer activate recovery screen. Any surgestions gratefully received 👍

You also need to connect to your phone either to usb c headphones, or to a PC. It doesn't have to be in any mode or be syncing, just needs to be plugged in whilst you hold down the buttons. After which you can disconnect them.
This is new to Android 11 in certain countries.

@Merlins23ultra Glad it worked fine, a change in Android 11 which has been publicised but obviously not everyone will be aware.
