New update has goofed up my camera! Now I'm a greenman?

I installed the new Samsung update. It's completely messed up my camera. Now I only seen a green screen on a video call? Called Samsung, they advised to give feedback and await patiently. I suspect some foul play!

When I make a video call my screen is now totally green after I installed the latest samsung software update, I'm so angry an one know how to resolve this??????

when on a video call a little icon with a camera should show up, press on it and select green screen, enable off (or something along them lines)

Which apps is this happening on for you? Any apps with a video call feature that it doesn't happen on?

Yes Google meet still works fine the issue is with Watsapp and the latest Samsung software update.

Cheers guys. As I suspected from reading the Canadian Community topic I linked to, it appears to be an issue with Meta-owned apps (e.g. WhatsApp, FB Messenger). I've flagged it on the Samsung side of things, but might be a good idea to send an error report with log files via the Members app too, if you're able to and haven't done so already.

As soon as the issue occurs (within 15 minutes is best):

Samsung Members > Support > Send Feedback > Error Reports > [select error type] > choose frequency of issue, and write an accurate and good description (and attach any screenshots/pictures/videos showing the issue if you want/are able to) > tick ‘Send system log data’ > Send (the > icon on the top right).

(Or: Long-press the Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen, and select 'Error reports' from the dropdown menu, and follow the steps from there.)

That will send that report and log files for the Samsung developers to analyse.

Perhaps, it's time to upgrade. Awaiting the new S24 Utra now.

Whenever I make a video call on Messenger or WhatsApp the receiver only sees a green screen. It started after latest android update. If anyone has any idea on how to fix it? I've tried clearing the cache, update the apps, turn off video call effects in Advanced Features etc. My phone is Note 10 lite. Thanks

@Mel41kr: Is your Front camera still working as expected outside of Messenger and WhatsApp video calls? To test the hardware, please head to the Phone app > Dial *#0*# into the Keypad > Select 'Front cam' from the series of grey tiles. Is the viewfinder clearly visible here? If so, please head to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp (as an example) > Permissions, and make sure that 'Camera' is allowed. I also recommend restarting your phone to address any software issues that might be a contributing factor.

Hi, yes I seem to be having the same problem and it started after the latest whatsapp update. I have tried everything including factory reset but nothing seems to have worked. The front and back camera seem to work fine otherwise.

Unfortunately this sounds like an issue with your phone and isn't related to WhatsApp.
We have confirmed with the Samsung team that the issue is due to a problem with the device. We can assure you that their team is working hard on fixing the problem, but we cannot communicate any timeline at the moment.

I am having the same issue with my Samsung note 10 lite after update to Samsung latest software. This is embarrassing.

My front cam is working fine. I can see both videos during the call, mine as well as the opposite end. I managed to get my messenger working fine by removing new setting available on screen during the call. WhatsApp is still not working correctly.

same thing to my note 10 lite. only whatsapp have this issue. wonder if other samsung model will have same problem after update?

Same problem on my Note 10 Lite. Looks like it is specific to this model. I've checked on Samsung Galaxy A32 -everything works fine.
