Fast Charging not working on Note 10+ after update to Android 12 (one UI 4)

After the latest update rolled out a few days ago (Android 12) for my Note 10+, Fast charging stopped working. used various power adapters (original from Samsung, and others) which worked perfectly fine before the update, with no avail. Tried restarting the phone several times, switching cables and adapters, turning fast charging on and off in the battery settings, nothing helps. I saw that there is similar comments on the S21 after the latest update, so has to be a common issue?

With high wattage adapter, it does says fast charging, but gives a 3 hours estimate to fully charge a 56% battery, which is absurd, as its not fast charging. with the original OEM adapter (fast charger) it doesn't even says its fast charging. so the issue might be related to software limiting something on the charging process..

This renders the phone almost useless, as the battery needs to be charged at least once during the day now.. Anyone else seeing this?

Clear your phone cache

Since your phone is running on the latest software update some of your apps might not be optimized to run on this new version yet. This might cause issues such as the slow charging problem you are experiencing. Try to update your phone apps then check if the issue gets fixed

Can we have something better than a default answer, please? I have the same problem, right after updating my Galaxy Note 10+ to Android 12, One UI 4.0. Fast charging via cable works, fast wireless charging - doesn't. Charges not-fast way, shows "3hr until charged".

It always worked, it's turned on in settings, the wireless pad and the adapter are original and were shipped with this phone. No pending app updates, even though I don't think this might affect charging. Phone is not hot, when I place it on the charger. Removing the case didn't help either (always worked with the case on).

It's a clearly software issue caused by update!

Even I am facing the same problem with both wireless and cable charging since the One Ui 4.0 and 4.1 update.

Hi. Did you sort the issue? I usually don't update the phone straight away, kept it for a month this time also. Updated now and got same issue... Phone doesn't recognise the super fast charger at all, does fast charge with same cable off another charger...

Same thing. Phone plugged in for 7 hours and only got to 85%.

Battery drain is vastly accelerated during normal use.

Is this Samsungs way of forcing to to the 22 ultra? Seems like it.

How many users are eligible for an upgrade???? Plan obsolescence.... 🤔

you must go to day care setting, and go to batteray setting, turn off and on fast charge. then its work. my device note 10 plus

Tired of doing all this steps. These are one of the basic steps that we do in the first place.. but it's of no use.

I have a Note 10 Lite. I installed this system software update to my phone and it keeps restarting continuously when connected to a fast charger. Simply Terrible!! Is anyone else seeing a similar issue?

me too mobile say fast charging 1:10 min and take 40 min from 0 to 50% and take 1 hour for 100%

Mine takes around 4 hours or 5hrs for getting fully charged after the update. No response and bug fixing update from Samsung till now.

Yes this is definitely an update software problem, literally my phone for a year and a half has never had a problem fast charging until the latest update a few days ago. I have went through five obvious steps of seeing which it could be and all of them have left me frustrated as hell because none of them have worked! We need a new update asap

Same issue here, Spain. My Note 10 lite lost the fast charge with last update.

Really, this is not a loss... but a robbery.

My last samsung device if they don't step back and fix the issue.

I delayed the update for as long as I could until 2024 when I accidentally tapped on the wrong button and find myself also having this issue. Troubleshooting completed: I have ensured all my apps are updated by going to the Google Play store and checking for app updates. I have also cleared cache and cookies. The phone was also restarted after the first two steps were taken.

When the fast charger was plugged in, it seemed promising at first but then it stopped charging and kept switching back and forth between fast charge and no charge at all. The only thing I can use is a slow charging cable and adaptor but takes over 6 hours to reach a full charge. Please advise!
