Looks like they have received the job to look at the fault and will look at what's needed for the repair. Like parts and labour.
If any repairs to the phone are chargeable. You will get contacted before they do any work.
If the repair is covered under warranty, they will go ahead and repair it and send the phone back.
Depending on what the fault is will determine how long it takes.

I have sent my phone for repair after being told my phone is still under warranty.

Does anyone know what this status means on the Samsung repair tracker, 'Status: Your repair request has been accepted by our repair partner and an engineer will be commencing work soon.'

It may seem obvious what it means, but I want to know if they have assessed the phone and accepted to repair it under warranty or that they have received the phone (or request to fix the phone) and have yet to check it/touch it/assess it.

Does anyone know what it means?

UPDATE: Everything went through smoothly. After this status message, an engineer was assigned to work on the device and it was completed by the next day.
