Preorder question!

Hello,

So I did my preorder on the day after the unpacked event, by the time I was able to decide which color I want the earliest delivery date was shown as 9th of Feb for the 1TB variant.

I placed my order and now my samaung account reads the following.

Arrives before official release on 09/02/2024.

I swear the official release is the 31st of Jan?

So was I cheated by samaung, did I not preorder but post order?

Because a preorder to me means you would get it before public launch or on the day of public launch?

I'm assuming this being samaung preorder means, pay for it and 1 year later we will send you the phone? Considering now they offer 7 years of software upgrades, they must justify that 😂?

The timeline can be affected by the capacity of internal storage chosen and by the colour too @Specialist

Did you choose a standard colour or an online exclusive.

Take into consideration that the dates can change either way too.

Pre ordering means you also get some good promotional items such as the free spec bump and watch etc as well as normally a phone before the official launch date.

I hope you get your phone ASAP.

Mine also showed like this, but there was an option to split the delivery. So I should be receiving the phone on the release date and then the galaxy watch in a couple of weeks time.

Yes I know that capacity and color can change the delivery date but even the 256 models at the moment say 19th of February.

I chose a standard color, even though the exclusive colors were cool, I would have hated to purchase one and then have to find a way to return it because the color Doesn't look like the pics. (Samsung should have dummies in stores).

So you are saying the only benefit I get for preordering is to get a useless watch??? (I preordered the watch 6 classic, and own a pro 5 and guess what? Both gadgets don't do what they suppose to do. (still to date doesn't track my sleep properly) maybe thry messed that up a few generations back in hopes to fix it with the ring...)

Yeah, the UK gets the worst deal. My friend in the Netherlands got the Ultra 512 for less than 600 euros. Didn't even trade in a phone.

Not going to preorder another thing from Samsung again.

I didn't have such option, I even tried removing the watch to place an order and nearly forgotten to add it back.

I checked the EPP store and the student store's ad well as the public store and ended up getting it from the public store.

With preorders you need to be a quick gun.

You snooze you loose .

Probably Samsung has already filled up the first batch of orders and/or delivery quotas.

Also since atleast the UK they seem to have a contract with DPD maybe the slots are full.

The earliest was showing 24th of this month.

So those who went frenzy minutes after the event will probably get them this Wednesday.

Also I guess most people preorder more for the free goodies than anything else.

As the exclusive colours often take way longer then the normal ones.

I ordered the Titanium Blue online exclusive about 7pm on the 17th Jan. Expected delivery is 24th, so fingers crossed!

The screen protector and case says ships 24 jan.

Watch and strap no info

Actual phone 09 Feb....

I Ordered mine on the 18th and, Titanium Orange with a free smartwatch 44mm. It says deliviery is on the 24th. Fingers Crossed.

i didnt order mine till half 4 tonight i was having secound thoughts i put in the basket twice and removed it till today it said 24th on delivary slot for the phone,case,screen protects but the watch and strap has 9th of feb

i went with the 512gb in grey

i thought that with doing late didnt think that date would still have been there checked order before and its changed to Preparing dispatch

if you click on your order number on the email its show what you have ordered or you can go on track my order on samsung website then put your order number in it will show you underneath

Putting the order number shows me no status it shows me half items to be delivered by 24th and half by the 9th, so I will get a screen protector by tomorrow? And no phone from the looks of it 😂
