I don't mind thriller as well with the right content and APV is helpful for softening detail as its not pre sharpened making it a little more flattering for people but I don't mind standard sharpening for landscape backgrounds to be honest.

I still prefer Epic Tutorials GLOAT V2 though for accuracy, it calms red down. Just a shame I can't bake it in with Blackmagic Camera app yet only in a post video editor as Samsung seem to have blocked this feature for some reason. Tad weird considering the whole point of using LOG if for efficiency in colour grading.

Agreed yeah, LQ is more practical. The whole SSD's not working on the S26U right now is pain being stuck at USB 2, weird it's fine on the older models. Need to test it again since applying a update yesterday, to see if it's been patched.

I've only really edited properly on my PC with Divinci Resolve so it's not an issue there.

On my phone I've used VN editor with HEVC footage mainly as it was a free option I started with, I was very used to the workflow using it coming from iOS. I used Lumafusion on there as well occasionally but It's not as stable on Android unfortunately. Maybe it will be better now I have 16GB RAM, i'll have to give it a go and see.

LF has massively improved in the last few years on android but still get the odd buffer - should be able to make the videos proxy to help but I can't find the option...

Not sure the increased ram will help as believe it's an app / optimization issue but hope so... I do otherwise quick like this app!

Be interesting to see how the S27U's likley Snapdragon Gen 6 cope's with VVC's more complex compression algorithms and if it's timeline editing will be laggy. It will be popular for most people though like HEIC/HEVC's file size savings has been.

I would be surprised if I get one though it's too much expense so frequently (When Samsung put the new good sensors on a 5x I'll cave, I know my weaknesses 😂) I only upgraded from the S24U as I couldn't face wireless charging speeds anymore once my USB C was playing up and 5x bokeh is nicer. I now rock a port plug permanently 🙏.

Samsung has been working quite a bit with Vivo recently though pushing their new sensors having 3° OIS stabilisation on the zoom like the standard 1x which is very desirable. One UI fans like ourselves only get that on the 1x with 1.5° on the zoom.

I honestly wouldn't mind a chip change. I've not heard any issue with the 2600. Performance has never really been something I'm unhappy with on a Samsung.

As long as it supports the current standards go for it if it will realocate production costs and if it could bring over the Linux terminal that would be ace.

I'm not so on board with the downgrade on the 3x on the S26U though, it wasn't really a great option to begin with.
