One UI 8.5 Beta with Perplexity

I thought this feature is only fot the S26 series but it looks like Perplexity Assistant is coming to the S series as well and probably other compatible phones.🤔

I have not tried it myself because I don't use phone Assistants. At least I don't talk to them...

Looks like Samsung might be rolling it out more widely than expected. Good to see older S series devices getting the option too. Even if you don’t use voice assistants, the AI search and quick answers could still be useful.😊

I use Free Perplexity quite alot and 2nd Gemini and the Samsung Galaxy AI.
I thought Samsung wouldn't be able to make such a transition but it's software after all I guess?🧐

I've started using Bixby more then Google as Bixby being smarter allows me to bundle everything into one Assistant. I also don't like waiting for Google to do something that Bixby does in a few seconds. I'm probably not going to use Perplexity on its own.

But I noticed that Samsung already breaks Google's ai overview in Samsung internet browser. 🫩

I've not seen it be as fast. In certain ways it's slower because unlike Bixby it's not integrated into the system settings and I'm always messing with my Settings.

It is fast, Gemini can do what Bixby can- set alarms, copying in Notes, writing in calendar. Done, done, done. 🤭 Take a screenshot? Done

I still honestly prefer to use Bixby. I mainly use Google for deep searching since Perplexity is new to me and Idk how reliable they are 😅
