10 Years Between Them

Been 10 years between the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S26 Ultra

Although this is the Note Fan Edition. The only difference is the smaller battery.

The Note 7 was so far ahead of its time with Iris scanning etc. But looks so dated now.

Still think this was Samsung at their peak with innovation.

So great to see innovation now with the privacy display and refinements

Incredible you still have the note 7 👏 I still have the s2 and the s6 edge and still think samsung should bring more colour options like the one with the note 10 + (rainbow) (got my s26U in white also) 😊

Still has all day battery life as well.
Every now and again I charge it and will pop a sim card in
Its quite laggy compared to phones now.
No swipe gestures
But I lived those phones back then

Very interesting to see these side by side. I used to love the curved around display but the flat screens nowadays are so much practical with glass screen protectors. Remember I was nervous of moving to a phone without a home button! But how outdated that seems now. I wonder why they dropped the Iris scanner?

I still have a S6 Edge mint condition but locked and I cant remember the password, for me its a design classic, still feel great, screen is amazing.

Old is gold.

It was a consequence of having the screen go all the way up to to top border. The tech that resided there (iris scanner, notifications led, front facing camera) had to be moved somewhere, or we would get an unsightly screen cut-off for these sensors. So, we got a punch-hole in the screen for the front-facing camera, and the rest was just removed.

Certainly looked nnovative back in the day (obviously the Battery an issue for some ) whilst Technology moved on can appreciate iconic Devices). Good to see the contrast 🙂
