Buds 4 pro // a cautionary word about case damage

A word of caution and a little tip.

I received my buds 4 pro this morning and at lunchtime I went for a walk with my buds and phone in the same pocket.

I figured a smooth plastic buds case and a smooth phone screen would be fine with both surfaces being completely smooth. My Keys and anything else was in the other pocket... only these two devices.

This was my first walk and sadly without any protective plastic cover on the buds case.

I am genuinely surprised and surely the clear plastic cover would be coated or protected in some way right?!

To be honest It's only cosmetic.. I dont really care that much but it is a bit disappointing. I had my buds 2 case for 2 years and not a single scratch on that, with using it in similar ways.

Additionally this is the anti protective coating of my screen protector on my fold 7.

How?!? The buds case is completely smooth in all planes...no edges in sight.

Smooth plastic against smooth screen. Just be aware. For me I will just remove this AR protector from my fold 7 and replace it.

But consider the scenario...

A brand new s26u without a screen protector and a brand new buds case being in the same pocket without any protection. It could take the AR coating off the actual phone within a few days.

For me it is minor and a quick screen protector replacement. I can get over a few scuffs on my buds case.

Hopefully me sharing this will help awareness from some others in this scenario. Please put some protectors on.

P.s. no need for sympathy comments as it is just a case😂...but i am just genuinely shocked this level of damage could occur within a 30 minute walk on day one, between two surfaces that are completely smooth and surely with little to no friction.

I already have one on order... but just a see through because it is useful to see the buds through the window. It's fine though... maybe a clear cover might cover it a bit anyway.

Lesson learned 😊. I dont get too hung up on things like this. I would have been upset though if that display was my s25u actual display unprotected though 😉

What brand case is it, all Samsung UK ones are OoS

I'd put a sticker on it, we did it with our Buds2 and 3 Pro, but that was more not mixing up each other's Buds when charging
