Just for info you can download all your data that Google stotires by visiting Google takeout. I've done it to download all my photos to back up on my laptop. You can download everything or just select whatever you want. It's downloaded in zip files.

Over 20gb. You can unzip them in the my files app then just view in the gallery app. 👍

Just information files. I unzipped them one by one. After unzipping I deleted the zip file then made a folder to put them all in. Opened the gallery app. Selected all the photos in the unzipped folder and moved them to the folder I'd made. Then you can delete the original folder that's just full of the Jason files. You have to put 1 photo in the new folder you make for it to show up in the gallery. Hope that makes sense.

Yes it is useful advice, to download all photos and videos it needs to be done via Google Takeout via the web on any Device.

Yes you can delete the Json files. They just contain data about the photos but you don't need them.

I ask coz I know you say sure lol.... Once the download is done is that all the photos in the Google photos right now so it's save to delete the Google photos on line as they been downloaded?? I pay £25 a for a year

Yes that should be all of them. Best to turn back up off in Google photos or uninstall it and delete from the Google photos web site. If you delete them in the app while backup is still on it deleted them from your phone as well. Better still back them up to a laptop or usb drive first to make sure.
