I see Samsung are teasing features for the S26 launch, not sure i get the whole privacy thing, given allot of screen protector companies offer something and i do wonder if you add a screen protector would it affect the software ...

What do you think, a useful feature or a gimmick?

Need to see further details though, personally have not used third,party screen protectors.

Not sure how many people will be brave enough to get their brand new S26 ultra out on a packed train or bus. Too risky.

Yeah i suspect the usual pattern, that being the S27 will be a bigger change, S26 will be more Google, Perpelxity AI, camera, chip, buds ... assume the late changes and cadence that delayed Unpacked26 also mean S27 focused.

So, probably a good upgrade for S23 owners

I think in fairness to Samsung and the S25 Ultra, it set the bar so high, it will be very hard to top.

I think the idea of inbuilt privacy screen is not to buy a protection privacy screen. I reckon I wouldn't use my phone without screen protector unless is scratch free and crack proven.

I used to not use a case with my ZFOLD3 and 4, but dropped the 4 and it was costly, damage was mainly in the corner, so a case would have helped, but so much so for all those 20 foot drops tests it passes

Yes especially in London.I have always hidden my phones on the trains and on the streets of London for that matter!
