Did update one ui 8.0 on samsung a16 since then it charges but keep getting error message. Android usb not supported on this device

That's certainly strange. One ui 8 did tweak the way the usb port works but it shouldn't cause that message.

The change was by default, the phone starts in charge only mode. Once you connect to a computer, you open a notification and then change the mode. Stops certain types of attacks.

Have you tried just rebooting the phone? Else report it using the send feedback button in the members app. Not seen this issue before so I don't have a solid solution yet

Thankyou for replying i googled seems 8.0 update for a16 does produce this error message particularly with usb c to usbc adaptor as whitch doesnt work at all but at least charges with usb a to usb c charger. Must be a bug with 8.0 update peehaps isolated to samsung a16 phones.
