S25 Ultra Wins Android Authority's Best Phone of 2025 Award

The S25 Ultra is the best phone of 2025 according to Android Authority poll. of course caveats apply but more took part than ever before.

May be debate on whether this is best way to do this but the process involves an elimination Round , a top 4 and a battle between the top two choices.

There were 38 choices in the initial round and two Pixels,10 Pro XL and 10 Pro actually came out on top followed by the S25U in 3rd place and the iphone17 in 4th. Whilst the Z Fold 7 started quick strongly it ended up in 7th place though ahead of the iphone17 Pro which only just made the top 10.

In the end it came down to a matchup between the S25 Ultra and the iphone17 with both Pixels eliminated. on an Android site a clear favourite, from the top 4 stage though voting extended to Youtube, X and Threads.

For me it's going to be s25 ultra or Z fold 7 or even one plus, but I've noticed a lot of tech reviewers gives title to iphone 17 model just because iPhone (for the first time in many years) included 120hz rate in base models with affordable price so its easy to recommend to others if you are in apple ecosystem but apart from that not sure why they giving so much credit to iPhone 17 (apart from things mentioned above)

Feels like 🍎 was just waiting for the right time, but the question is it? Or its kinda bit too late where's tri-folds exists 🤔

Indeed,the iphone often seems to be playing catch up these days but obviously have a fan base and a few reviewers in their corner. Of course Samsung also have some who may not be be completely objective but do have innovation in their favour.

Well i have the S25 Ultra
Also got the Pixel 10 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro
All fantastic phones in their own way
But you just can't get passed how versatile the S25 Ultra is
The features, S Pen and customisations to name a few
The S25 Ultra you just get more
So as you imagine the S25 Ultra is the best for me

Have to agree on the S25 Ultra.

I've not got the other two devices you mention so can't compare but the S25 Ultra is a beast of a device.

S25 ultra for me is the best phone i have ever had and no i dont say it every year either. My last fav phone was s23 ultra then iphone 13 then s10 plus and iphone 8 plus. The s25 ultra stands out the most though and I can't see other than silicon carbon battery's and a bump in camera tech how it can get much better. I think its still phone of the year even at this point. Every phone has a drop or a caveat this one does everything really well and excels in some areas for example the build and the display. Samsung you got work to do to pull me off this phone!

Like other manufacturers trying innovations Samsung to me is the only one that can continuously deliver premium expectations overall. Samsung has so many unique features that others don't.
I don't want to start comparing with 🍎
For me the most important thing is camera, freedom, user friendly experience that can be make my life easier. Year by year Samsung put something on the table not just put the same model in a new outfit 😂
