Samsung Launches 60 watt Charger In Preparation For S26 Ultra

With signs that the S26 Ultra will support the higher charging speed, a 60 watt charger has now appeared on Samsung.com in various countries.

The charger supports the following standards SB-PD (5V, 15V, 20V) and PPS (5-20V) at up to 3A.

Would not be the biggest priority for everyone though.

I'm curious how much the extra speed would even matter. As in, my phone can do 45w. Almost every time I charge it, it finishes way before I'm expecting

2x faster than 45w would be 90w. The charger is 60w, not 90w. Charging also isn't linear. As in, 45w capable samsung phones only do 45w below 30% battery, over 30% they slow down to not damage the battery.

Higher charge speeds only improve speed in certain situations

Yea thats why i thought 8 or 9 mins would be an accurate estimation or would you say thats to high? I know that this only charges at 45 watts from like 10% to 40% more often than not it charges at around 30 watts

I guess a sensible step up but not enough to warrant an upgrade on it's own of course.

But given some Chinese Device manufacturers are hitting 100+, Samsung had to move on this.

I find the 45w charging fast enough. A lot of it is just hype cus it sounds good. People fall for the higher figures but it doesn't make that much difference.
