Quick Share to Airdrop? YES! But...

So Google has enabled the latest Pixel devices to be Quick Share compatible with Apple iOS Airdrop.

Now let's see if this feature becomes part of Android and therefore on a Samsung devices - it's a nice compatabilty feature and one that will come in handy when sharing with our less open minded friends and colleagues 😂

An interesting Development, apparently Google though would welcome the opportunity to work with Apple to enable Contacts only Mode in the future , therefore Apple was not party to the implementation and remains to be seen how they react. https://security.googleblog.com/2025/11/android-quick-share-support-for-airdrop-security.html

However obviously Apple has been under EU scrunity with its Ecosystem and "uncompetitive practices" which possibly may persuade them to think carefullly.

I have noticed how easy it is to not have an apple device and communicate with other people and devices. Like James said its probably just the eu pushing apple but it works me. Biggest development in history is apple having rcs.
