M14 ultra-luminous 2K Everest OLED panel from Samsung Debuts

A strange one this:

iQOO 15 to debut with a new Samsung OLED display

The official Weibo handle of iQOO has revealed that iQOO 15 will become the first smartphone to feature the M14 ultra-luminous 2K Everest OLED panel from Samsung. It is also going to be a LEAD (non-polarized OLED) display which will allow the smartphone to achieve higher brightness value, better transparency and a wider colour gamut.

This technology promises a 40% improvement in luminous efficiency and a 44% reduction in power consumption. The panel will further support up to 144 Hz variable refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness. It will even be able to go as dim as 1 nit of brightness.

This screen sounds amazing and I am surprised that the iQOO 15 will be the first smartphone to debut the screen. I would have thought Samsung would have kept it for their own flagship the S26 Ultra, then again we could be looking at the screen which Samsung will be using in the Ultra?

Wow AMOLED and its various tweaks have kept my with Samsung since the S2 mobile but also the tablets and laptops.

It just goes to show that Samsung makes more screens for other brands than anyone else including screens for iPhones. This M14 screen sounds crazy 🤪

Looks like a monster of a Display and amazing Technology Whilst you would think Samsung would want to keep thie screen for itself the components Business is very lucrative.

I love a good comfy screen on a phone. I hope it will not take long until Samsung will use this technology on their own phones.
