Reported leaks of the new device suggest another iterative design, with similar camera design to the recent Fold7 and rounder corners.

Of course we anticipate the use of the new Snapdragon Elite chip but also the use of Exynos 2600...

The only change you ever see is inside of the device, everything else is the same, the outside, the camera change a bit, the SPen is redesigned but looks like it always has. Nothing else.

Hopefully it will be the Snapdragon gen 5 as it's confirmed APV but I'm fine if the exynos chip can give some real battery efficiency back and doesn't bog down on intensive video encoding (would need APV if so)

If the battery is remaining the same gains will need to be made somewhere as the Samsung M14 COE screen would only help 30% or so.

I don't see them putting the telephoto HP9 in. There is importance placed on style unity being thin with recent devices. So it's probably some faster glass with possibly no adjustable aperture (would be a reversal of choices) and clean video output on APV 🥳

We typically offically hear months ahead on the chips so the smaller HP5 rumoured likley isn't ready.

I've stopped listening to the 3x rumours as it's a less prioritised lens but with no lens shape change it could end up having a even smaller photosite 😑 If it's not improved perhaps it would have been better to go and give space for a big sensor on 5x. Perhaps then fitting a larger perscope sensor even with shaving another 1mm ect off isn't possible.

Highly unlikely - my understanding is that whilst they offer higher energy density, they do not necessarily have the same life expectancy at the moment. Expect the same 5k lithium cell had the previous models

Yes I've also seen them potentially using newer tech screen...

SD certainly has proven sto he better than Exynos but this chip has been a few years in the making... First 2nm chip... Would ultimately be great if they could directly compete as us, the consumer, may benefit

Historically SD has had a big performance lead. The die shrinking would help a bit but I'm hoping more concern has been placed for it's thermal performance and efficiency as if it could sustain high clock speeds longer it would win overall anyway in real world use when gaming/editing if the GPU is ok (my biggest concern here). It being in house would hopefully increase Samsungs profits easing supply chain to invest elsewhere.

I'm conflicted as a broad hardware company I hugely respect Samsung's efforts as a fan here but their mobile department at times can feel at odds with their own foundries. Recently some class leading tech has been launched and tested with other clients or features of the hardware disabled that was R&D. Tad confusing to a layman like myself 😅.

Exynos, if it happens, will be a no from me. I won't buy another device with Exynos in it I'm afraid.

Otherwise, I would like to see Samsung really push the envelope again and go for big, bold improvements on the S26 Ultra.😊

A fair bit of speculation but looks interesting, not expecting really big changes. Whilst advancements in the Exynos processors really think the Ultra should utilise the Snapdragon Elite and would really prefer fairly significant camera enhancements.

Replacing the 3x to a 50MP larger sensor for better quality portraits or using the intended HP9 (before thin took over) for a 200MP 5x would have made it a no brainer for me.

It's likely we could be getting a update that while ahead of much ot the industry still puts Samsung 3 years behind the industry leader on video. When I read the inital spec on APV years ago it had no grading so you can't choose a quality/storage balance. It didn't have CFR which was a shame compared to the RAW alternatives now.

The faster glass will help at night and a tad on slo mo, I'm just not sure a cleaner image stopped down with less distortion in the day and more resistance to blown highlights (Issue we all control at times) would have been better considering we take more pics in the light? Obviously each user has their own shooting location preferences though.

You're all probably sick of me mentioning media specs but i love capturing moments on my Samsung as it's got a wide range of abilities but it's just been rather frustrating watching things slow the last couple of years and unusual inconsistant software choices from Samsung being in such a good position photographically.
