A Tech creator was denied Boarding a flight due to the major Battery swelling on their Galaxy Ring which meant it was stuck on finger, the Ring could only be removed by a medical professional. This appears to be a rare occurance though noticed there have been reports of Battery swelling on Tech sites. proviso is that the Device was exposed to salt water and the heat in Hawaii may also have been a factor plus the fact that a Battery issue was apparent beforehand.

see a report here https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-ring-battery-swelling-3602200/

Yes it is important to take precautions and to heed appropriate advice. Salt water is corrosive.

It's only little but bet it would still burn badly if it continued deteriorating. Never hurts to actually read the manual 😂.
