Why the S25 Edge Surpasses the New iphone Air

A bit of a comparison in this video, I imagine the majority here favour Samsung and the Android system even if interested in Apple's offering. However some may switch between the two.

whilst the S25 Edge is not the Device for everyone and I have not tested Apple Devices for a while my impression is that the S25 Edge is superior to the latest iphone Air . The reviewer in this video see a number of advantages with the Samsung product, in my view it beats Apple's offering in terms of functionality and innovation. However there will be different perspectives.

Anyway it worth a look , currently the Edge is retailing for £899-£999 depending on the storage size.

The s25 edge is no brainer for me over the iPhone "Air" and still yet they haven't released the fold of theirs. 🙄

A Samsung fan YouTube channel could he say any different? It's hard not to see the possible bias, I don't disagree with him at all though as I don't like the Air too it seems all style no features. The Edge is the lesser of 2 evils.

Maybe that's why they are cool and I'm the boring nerd. I just can't understand thin slabs compromises, I get it for foldables as they go back to an acceptable form factor.

I worry the Air will probably thermally throttle badly if it's not really underclocked. As a camera fan I wouldn't be able to deal with it.

You shouldn't mock the competition those who does will bite the hand back. I'm for Apple at least they beat the Samsung tablets to the number one slot.

It's hard to see the market for the Edge. It's had limited sales (from the info you can piece together somewhat speculatively) and when you compare it to say the Fold/Flip 7 which have been favourably received mostly. Foldables still make up less than 2% annual global phone sales. So it must be tiny part of the phone market. Budget models being the real earnings strangely (Why they aren't consolidated and given R&D also confuses me)

Why does so much R&D go to less popular new sectors and slower iterative improvements to consistent performers almost feels like companies understand we just accept this. As what can we do, We need to use their platforms.

I understand they are tests to open new market sector sales but is making normal slabs less featured a positive way to do this?

Maybe but I think valid points were made, sure there will be comparisons from other sources.

Certainly I do not like too many compromises which I why I was not quite enticed by the Edge, there is a niche market for it though and I think it is innovative.

The M chips are excellent in iPads. They are taking baby steps into becoming a more fleshed out desktop experience as well now since stage manger and OS26.

I like the fact I can run also run linux on a Samsung tablet. The ipad only helps with certain video software having hardware acceleration.

Apple and some of their fans do much the same,anyway I did not think it was over the top. Personally I am always objective.

I think it was just a little short in scope the whole Apple eco system plays it's part to the value of a device like that it has it's benefits as well as it's draw backs. I think I'm relatively impartial to the platform but I know I'm bias if I see a company shortchange regarding cameras as I like them (Not as an important feature to everyone, sure i saw a survey once it came up first for about 35% of people asked though)

How did they beat the Samsung Tablets? And it's better by price, not opinion.
