I believe both cameras are outstanding, this is not about quality, while others praise the S25U camera, I believe the S24U takes more cinematic pictures but maybe it's just me? Here are the specs for both phones cameras and comparison pictures.

Performance differences

Ultra-wide camera

S25 Ultra
: The new 50MP sensor on the ultra-wide lens offers better detail, especially in macro shots and low-light conditions.

S24 Ultra
: The older 12MP sensor is still good, but doesn't produce the same level of fine detail or manage noise as effectively as the
S25 Ultra
in macro and low-light shots.

AI image processing

S25 Ultra
: The new AI-powered "ProVisual Engine" offers enhanced processing, leading to sharper telephoto photos and better results in night mode.

We know the technical/AI processing differences , sometimes though theory is different from user experience. However I think ther consensus from Members here is that the S25 Ultra camera generally produces better quality, perceptions can differ obviously. Personally I do not have an S24 ultra to compare it with.

Amateur Photographer does not see a significant difference. https://amateurphotographer.com/buying-advice/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra-vs-samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-do-photographers-need-to-upgrade-their-flagship-smartphone/

Tbh i don't see a difference between these two pictures i posted now, it needs further insight. I think the slight different sensors can make a different perception but not very obvious. S24U colour science is more on the saturated side while the S25U is more on the natural side. Also thank you for helping with the link. @JAMES4578

I can see a difference, in the s25 pic there is a curly haired child lying down spewing out a seahorse and a dragon but not in the s24. There is an old man lying down in the s24 one though 😂 sorry I know this isn't want you wanted but I love seeing things in clouds 👌🥰

My brief and short time I got to compare my S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra cameras, I found the S25 Ultra to be a little clearer with closer to the natural colour and lighting. I found myself enjoying the pictures more with my S25 Ultra and lastly video performance was improved. This is all relative of course, and the camera system in the S24 Ultra was still an excellent setup regardless.

I've only seen a difference on the 0.6x ultra wide where the noise is smaller so just less noticeable playing with a friend's S25U vs my S24U (It's my least used lens even liking macro as it's weaker to me, The slow 3x is at least good with VND). The 200MP ExpertRAW is also helpful for when post cropping for holding onto detail on manually focused results which is helpful, if you don't use RAW no change though (Wish the S24U could do this even with slow readout). You can't trigger ExpertRaw on a S25U using a watch so the S24U's S Pen wins. Apart from that they are pretty similar to me.

I know many who miss the 10x Zoom. Great fun with conviction.
The remote shutter using the spen for group selfies is great, but it's also super awesome if you want to take selfies using the superior rear cameras. I've seen many enjoying it like that.

I'm not done with yet by any means.. 🍻🎉🎈🥳

I still feel sorry they downgraded the S24U to 5x zoom, the S23U camera is still superior to the S24U camera because of that it and it can be seen in the picture quality.

I think the BT SPen is a superior feature. I love old Samsung tech.😊

I've read the S24 ultra does a good job by using Ai at 10x. But the S23 ultra at 10x provides more natural looking detail at that focal length. It's lovely. I agree that the Bluetooth spen is a great tool when needed. Great fun as well. It really doesn't need to be old tech. It's already good tech in existence and should not be taken away whether people use them or not. Knowing it's there just in case anyone needs it should be the case.
For the record, I prefer the S23 ultra design in the hand over the S24 and S25 ultras. It has an ever so subtle curve. I had the S25 ultra after Samsung did good trade-ins with gifts this year, but I sent it back. No regrets whatsoever 🙆🏻‍♂️🙌🏻😁

I know we have watches and rings nowadays, but it's easier when you can pull the Spen out of the phone and use it straight to shoot a picture or do other BT action, not to forget that it works from a distance of 10 metres.

I totally understand that. It simply isn't the same using a watch or ring. You'll also get a more composed selfie with the remote Bluetooth spen over a watch or ring. You are correct. It certainly does belong in the phone. Can't believe they've also done away with it on the new S11 ultra tablet.
I read the other day someone who teaches outraged over this because they use the Bluetooth spen by flicking through pages. Definitely don't understand why they've removed it from the tablet.
