S26 Ultra Charging upgrade

Speculative at the moment but according One UI 8.5 firmware leaks the S26 Ultra will support 60 watt wired charging. certainly if you are needing a quick boost this would be ideal though fully charging at this speed regularly has its risks. Do you feel this is one upgrade you would really be looking for?

Not important to me. I'd rather battery life is improved. But they feel they need to respond to the competition

Rumours state device will also be slimmer and 6.9" ... question is how much an official charger will cost too!

All improvements are welcome of course. But as @Tourbillon De La Vie has touched on, longevity of battery life would be the better focus. 😂

Personally @JAMES4578, I find that charging my S25 Ultra at 45W gives me all the charging speed combined with reliability that I could ever need. For Samsung to go to 60W is a good thing however, and I would not worry about this speed causing harm in any way, as Samsung always charges responsibly and safely and will ensure that the last 10% or so of charge will always be at a reduced speed to preserve long term battery life. I know many Chinese devices use much faster charging and have silicon carbon batteries, but I have concerns about the expansion and lifespan of such batteries combined with such very high charging speeds.
Overall, I think that 60W charging will be a nice upgrade to have. To be able to charge from say, 20% to 80% very quickly and safely is a definite big positive.

Honestly not bothered. At the moment I don't even use fast charging on my S25 Ultra as I only and exclusively charge at night which disables fast charging in both wired and Wireless. Even if I did use fast charging/Super fast charging is likely wouldn't notice the speed difference as it's not upped by much. Going from 45 to 60 is only adding another 15w which isn't that fast. It might be different knocking the time down by 10 to 15 minutes but I don't see that as beneficial.

Even with the arguments of "it'll have magnets built in" so? Your just going to smack a case with magnets on anyway.

Fair enough,users have different practices. Personally tend not to charge overnight.

I use adaptive charging. Which is healthier then basic and in many cases better then maximum
