topic Samsung keyboard- Spelling and grammar in Samsung Lounge

Has anyone else experienced issues with the AI spelling and grammar on the Samsung keyboard?

It is not troublesome; however, it seems to say it cannot correct messages due to "inappropriate language," which I understand for swearing and 18+ language, and that has been the case since the beginning. However, that error message seems to appear for most messages, even without restricted or bad language apparent. It seems to occure at random.

*submitted feedback, however unsure if this is just me.

It flags more than just bad words. Anything someone could attempt to cancel samsung for is blocked. Eg, if you use an "lgbt word" it blocks you. My guess is if the ai starts hallucinating and says something bad, someone would post it online and it'd affect samsung's reputation. So it only generates 100% safe things

That's fair. But also, it can literally be completely random messages that don't indicate any mention of anything.

What I've found funny is it cuts out words which I guess could be used negatively? Like the word "silly" is blocked for me

The block list is an ai itself. So its more of a feeling and vibe that it blocks. Eg, "wood pigeon" sometimes gets blocked because "wood" can be used in a nsfw way. I then just tried again and it worked fine. Since ai is inherently random, if you keep trying, sometimes it just works

They are obviously getting extra cautious as they roll out ONE UI7 to more and more devices.

Will have to wait for ONE UI 8 untill they solve this .😂

AI is taking all companies in murky waters with regards to security, privacy and lots of other things.😊

I think it's better for AI to block something than to translate it incorrectly, like the German word Nien, if anyone remembers. 😂

Nien= Terrorist group Al-Qaida 🤣🤣😂.

Luckily, Samsung fixed it.

I'm finding the AI as of recently to be overtly sensitive to anything that might be perceived as a challenging topic. Unfortunately it has made a particularly useful feature on the phone virtually useless, as any time you engage in any type of conversation with the hint of controversy it will refuse to either translate, spell check or grammar check.

I just checked if this text itself would be appropriate and it will refuse to do anything with it.

Its sensitivity, which I think is unnecessary and undesired, is absurd. Today it censored me for this: https://i.postimg.cc/L5G9m1zz/Screenshot-20250731-015518-Whats-App.jpg. This tool should just correct my writing, not decide what I cannot express, especially because it cannot differentiate if I'm talking to a foe or friend.

I'm a 47 year old. I think I'm old enough to make up my own mind if I want use nsfw language on my own messages or documents. The problem is Galaxy AI's writting assist won't spellcheck my text because it treats me like I'm 7. All they need to do is give the AI settings a little toggle to turn nsfw on/off. Please samsung, fix it
