At CES 2025 Samsung showcased prototypes of foldables, rollables, flexibles, sliding and even streachachable screens.

It is interesting to see all these prototypes and how far samsungs screen technology is ahead.

@lminvti Certainly interesting and innovative, remains to be seen if any pitfalls along the way mind you. I was inrigued by the Slideable Flex solo.

Slide flex solo was interesting to me as well, but it needs way more development as from videos I've seen it made lots of noise and was quite slow, the streachachable screens was something interesting as it seems it can interact with content you watching kind of 3D, 3 fold there's already official patent from Samsung but there's probably not going to be any time soon, but the other ones probably we will see some other brands buying screens from Samsung, like flexible ones to fit for EV touch screen panels.

Yes agree, some of the prototypes far from a market release but always interesting to see the concepts. The practicalties take time to sort out.

It's demo units, not sure what software they were running as nothing was mentioned about software.
