In last month I've bought a TV, soundbar and phone here in Thailand. I cannot read Thai but there is no choice of languages like in most international sites to have in English. I have no idea what the site says or asks for; the same is true of any emails I get from Samsung.

I tried using Malaysian site (they have an English choice) but requires Malaysian phone number and so on. I wrote to Australian site to ask them to wake up management and get the site available in the international language. The "write the CEO" is a cruel joke because you have to register first, which is impossible if you have no idea of what is asked for and where

If small local businesses here in Thailand can have English choice, seems a multinational like Samsung could do the same

perhaps, but the problem is I can't use Samsung Thai site because it is all in Thai, which is the gist of my post! So I can't post in the country I am currently in

Most of the info in phone is in English... it is anything from Samsung that is in Thai and Thai site offers no alternatives/translations. It's Thai or die... I have weaseled my way into somehow talk with Samsung rep regarding lack of English on site & after 10 minutes or so it is clear there is no way to do it (I've tried google translate but using that negates filling in any info in slots etc). Message needs to get up the management food chain to correct this... nothing those in the trenches can do. Basic design omission that Samsung needs to correct. A factory reset won't correct Samsung site ill design in Thailand.

Thanks for trying and loved "Band of brothers"

Contacting merchant? Sorry, but they just sell the phones here. They don't manage Samsung customer relations, which is where the problem lies.

I do find it hard to fathom why they do not have site in English as a choice. "As of 2024, there are approximately 3–4 million foreigners living in Thailand, which is about 5–6% of the total population." Majority are from Myanmar and Cambodia, but even if "only" 1 million other foreigners, the lack of option for English (the general universal language) is hard to fathom.

So no solution has been presented. The problem is not in my phone. I suggest anyone who thinks so that they go to Samsung Thailand site and try to get English.

Sorry to have to go to EU site, but as I pointed out Samsung Thailand is only for Thai reading customers.

@Emster : If you visit the Samsung Thailand site using Chrome as your browser, then you should see the Google Translate option to the right of the site address. As devices are optimised for use in their intended region, you may wish to try this on a device that was purchased in the UK/EU, as the Translate option will default to English.

The Samsung Internet app also features Browsing Assist on supported models, which allows you to summarise and translate webpages. To find out more, please take a look at the link below.

https://www.samsung.com/levant/support/mobile-devices/how-to-set-up-and-use-the-browsing-assist-features-on-the-galaxy-s24/

For your peace of mind, registration of your devices is not required in order for the warranty to activate, as this happens automatically on the date of purchase.
