BlackMagic Camera for Samsung Phones 📽

Blackmagic make some amazing cameras for filming. Software is really good as well.

Well they have released a free app for some Samsung phones and Google phones.

Only just found out it came out this month.

Having used it on an iPhone, ahem 🫣

I can tell you that it's perfect for those that really want to get into filming work on a smartphone.

It gives you an amazing amount of settings to adjust to get results you want.

Filming in portrait or landscape

If you are interested.

If you go into the app to see more information and further down to see if you device is compatible.

I know I'm really happy to have this as another tool to have on my S24 Ultra.

Not sure how long it's free for and not used it enough to see if there are any in app purchases available.

Now we just need a decent third party photography app that allows us to take decent pictures without Samsung's appalling processing ruining them

@Glenntech Interesting though seems it is only compatible with certain Devices. imagine there will be charges for certain functions.

Yeah I think with the type of software, it's probably more compatible with the higher spec devices.
There's probably stuff with DaVinci Resolve that will have some bit to pay for
Shall find out when I get to use it more

Open camera by mark harman is good one. Video isn't the best. But photos are great. It has a plethora of settings and even allows for actual RAW photos, not the post processing that you get on the stock camera

I would say not really. It's advantage is It's ability to take uncompressed raw photos. However noise is bad in low light. Personally I would stick with stock pro mode or gcam from bigkaka. I have noticed an improvement with expert raw though. It doesn't seem as heavily post processed. Maybe others can confirm.

Just asking. As the s25 can record log footage has anyone heard if Blackmagic Camera App will support it in a future version?
