Edit: I thought of connecting via Bluetooth, and streaming music works! Next step was replacing the samsung hdmi cable with another, AND IT WORKS!!! Will come back tomorrow to confirm this when I buy a new set of hdmi 2.1 cables.

Edit: bought a brand new hdmi 2.1 cable and soundbar works properly now. Decided to permanently disable auto updates via the app because this ***** is stressful.

Hi everyone! I bought my Q990D back in September 2024, was on 1016 firmware and all was well until yesterday. Soundbar got updated to 1021.2 and TV-ARC doesn’t work at all. Tried resetting, tried power cycling and still nothing. I connected via Bluetooth ia phone and it plays Spotify. Anyone else facing this issue? On Reddit /r/soundbars there seem to be a few people already having problems with 1021.2

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

I would contact samsung support and get troubleshooting over the phone. Being still new- or at least in warranty- they'll sort it
