TV HDMI ARC to Samsung Soundbar

CD Player - Optical Out to Samsung Soundbar Optical Input

Kindly advise if this is correct

What do I to do at the Samsung TV

Setup? I've done the basic setup accordingly, all working well, except for the CD Player. Kindly advise if I am right, connecting the Optical cable from CD Player Out to Samsung Soundbar Optical In?

Do I need to set any functions at the Samsung TV under the Sound functions? Or any other set-up details? Will the CD audio route directly to the Samsung Soundbar?
