Q990d - Alexa Not Working AT ALL

No matter what I do I'm unable to get Alexa working. It's so buggy it's a joke and there's no clear instructions.

I'm on an s24 ultra and running the smarthings app, selecting the Alexa option does not open any sort of link for me to sign in.

The other day after spamming this button multiple times, around 2 hours later the sign in page popped up on my google.com chrome, but still could not get it working.

I've also tried the alternative method of enabling the Samsung wireless audio skill in Alexa app. I managed to get the soundbar registered in the app but the soundbar has 0 Alexa functionality and cannot add it to play music or respond to my voice. Please fix this

Hey! I hear you, I've just bought the Q990D, I have S24+ and can't get Alexa to work either 🤷🏻

Just an update, I'm using a Samsung S24 Ultra and could not get Alexa set up whatsoever. However I used my mum's iPhone and logged into the smart things app and registered it through there and linked up with the Alexa app.. Worked perfect for a while and then Alexa stopped listening again for a few days then somehow fixed itself again.. Soo buggy but I hope the above might help

Did you actually manage to get to the Alexa sign in through the smart things app? Also have the Alexa app running and setup too on the same phone and Amazon ID

I've got it in smart things the Alexa app that's all on my S24+ same log in across all my Amazon accounts. I'm just gonna give up tbh I've managed to set it all up through Google assistant, which was a smooth set up as it should be.....

The solution to this is to uninstall the Amazon shopping app temporarily. Don't ask me why, but if you do this it will take you to the sign-in page first time. I found this solution while looking for a similar problem with my Sonos Roam. Works every time.

I turned off power to all the devices for 1 minute, turned them back on. I'm able to listen to music via bluebooth and wifi now, and alexa music via wifi.

I tried this and it worked perfectly, I used another iPhone with both apps smart things & alexa, perfectly like led at the first try.
