Music frame Q symphony compatibility with 2023 TV

Hi,

I am looking for the brand new Music frame, but I discovered that the Q symphony capability is not available with my "old" 2023 TV The frame TQ 43LS03. So I canceled my order.

The compatinity is only ensured with 2024 TV.

I am realy "disapointed "with this poor specification.

Does anyone know at Samsung or elsewhere if there is a plan for better performance (Sw version update)?

They have to start somewhere, the 2024 range has the Music Frame in mind for software at launch it could also be a coded or hardware limitation. They may back date it but seen as the manual says 2024+ I imagine its a hardware limit. The 2023 Frame was a 2022 carry over anyway. Which didn't have any upgrade from 2021.

The Q-Symphony feature is compatible with the Music Frame on TVs released after 2024. 2023 TVs will become compatible after a software update.

The same problem issue here as well... I bought 2 frame speakers due to the spesial offer, after i read the frame 2023 TV will become compatible after a software update

Only Samsung TVs support connecting a Music Frame to a TV through Wi-Fi.

To change the Music Frame’s Wi-Fi connection once it is registered in the SmartThings app, first select the Music Frame’s card in the app, then tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Device Settings. Tap Network Status, then tap Change Wi-Fi network, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

The Music Frame does not support Wi-Fi 6.

The Q-Symphony feature is compatible with the Music Frame on TVs released after 2024. 2023 TVs will become compatible after a software update.

To connect the Music Frame and a soundbar simultaneously using Q-Symphony, a 2024 soundbar is required.

So two questions really - has that update happened now for 2023 Frame TVs (I bought one in a sale, considering a Music Frame but I don’t have one yet) ? Also given I can pair my existing Bluetooth speaker, would I be able to pair both at the same time to get surround sound ?

No oftware update so fare..kind of disepointed. I'm using the one if the frame as a music speaker... excellent sound and is satisfying with that. (Spotify)

For the TV I still waiting.

I test the Bluetooth setting ..but can only connect one speaker at time. In one setting i can play Internal TV speaker together with the music frame. But there is no point in that. There is no harmoni of the sound and the sound setup this way its really bad. For now i use one of the Music frame connected to TV through WIFI and used to hear the sound coming from one of the side..it's ok..but hope Samsung soon will come with a update as thy promised. 🤔

I have a S90C - 2023 OLED TV and looking to buy the 2024 Q990D and the Music Frame, would they be compatible to use the QSymphony together and the sound from all 3 devices?

The 1015 firmware for the music frame and the q990d is available. I don't know what changed.

I would love to be able to configure q symphony by mixing wired and wireless devices. Right now I have to use WiFi for everything, which cancels the hdmi inputs on the soundbar.

finally an update came to the Frame TV 2023 mod where u can directly connect to the music frame as q symphony mode. It is a easy setup and works good.
First i felt it was almost no change at all, but after i has be on for few minutes i could hear a big difference, specially when u listen to music and watching movies. But i wish there was an adjustment how powerful u want the music frame to be i the q symphony setup ...but maybe that will destroy some of the effect for the setup. 🙂

my Q-symphony setup is with Fram TV 65" and music Frame
in the software u have multiple Choices where you placed the music frame.

Thanks for the update. I've got the frame tv and the samsung s801b soundbar, which uses the the Q-symphony function. I want to try and add the music frame to my current set-up and have it as a "rear" speaker, but have struggled to find an answer. The last chat I had with a samsung rep, reckons it would work.

yeah if u have the soundbar u can conect it directly to the soundbar...but only soundbar q700d, q800d, s800d support rear speaker ....as i understand ur soundbar s801b has not rear speaker support when it comes to the music frame. ( ur soundbar support other rear speakers tho, maybe this last update will make it support as a rear speaker as well?

in mine setup i could chose music frame work as rear speaker as well.

I like the Music Frame, but the hard requirement of having to connect the Music Frame and the soundbar via WIFI to the TV, kills the HDMI input ports. This is unacceptable. Q-Symphony should allow us to mix between wired and wireless devices.

Where do you find these informations in the software ? Is it via "Smartthings" or somewhere else.
